Years in the making.

CH Smith Development - Launceston

Photographed over a few years, this once neglected arrangement of derelict buildings on the Northern approach to Launceston was transformed into a modern, self contained and well utilised office space.

Interior view of an office or lobby area with a modern wooden lattice wall holding green potted plants in white pots. In the foreground, there are large snake plants with tall, variegated green leaves.
Modern office reception area with curved white desk, two computer monitors, black office chair, large glass entrance doors, wall-mounted monitor, wooden ceiling fixtures, exposed concrete column, and multi-level glass and wood interior design.
An urban construction site next to an old brick building with faded advertisements painted on its side, and a modern building under construction with a flat roof and workers. A hill with houses is visible in the background.
Interior of an abandoned building with graffiti-covered walls, exposed wood beams, and makeshift stairs leading to a second-floor opening, with natural light coming through broken windows.

Thought unsalvageable, architects, engineers and builders repurposed the rotting facade into stunning state of the art spaces, completing the resurrection of decades of neglect. I was commissioned to cover the process from mud to completion, with images being used for worker education, training, compliance, tenders and awards.

Construction site next to a highway with machinery and building frameworks, enclosed by a fence with 'JMC Property Group' branding, during sunset.
An open-plan office space with white cubicles, wooden beams, exposed brick walls, large windows, and modern lighting fixtures.
Empty street with abandoned buildings, some with graffiti, including a large white building with decorative architectural details, and a sign indicating it is closed.
Modern open-concept kitchen with white countertops, gray cabinets, wood accents, and a staircase in the background.
